Resumen:

The Southern California Seismic Network (SCSN) is jointly operated by the USGS in Pasadena and Caltech, with more than 400 seismic stations and 383 of those that contribute to earthquake early warning (EEW). Most of the seismic stations have broadband and strong motion instruments installed. The Southern California Earthquake Data Center (SCEDC) archives and distributes data recorded by the SCSN and other southern California data sets. They also provide the products that contribute to the USGS earthquake event page (ex: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ci41019687/executive). Our mission is to provide timely data for the community, but also to continually incorporate the latest advances and be at the cutting edge of seismic network research. To that end, we have Amazon cloud service as our preferred method for people to acquire our data, Machine Learning picker to post process data, and the first DAS unit incorporated into realtime monitoring in the US. I will give the basic overview of the network as well as these advances in this talk.
